Start of Summer!

I need to update more often! I have a million pictures! Loads of Emma!
Here she is swinging on the big girl swing, with her big girl attitude!

Aubree practicing her ribbon twirling for the Olympics.
Emma following in her footsteps. :)

 Enjoying the pool

Karson & Emma having breakfast.

 DONUTS!

So hard being a baby and being denied your "boo" which is what she calls her pacifier for some reason.

Daddy teaching Emma how to torment the cat with the hose.

Beautiful girl making some bows with mom.
Karson was the only student to receive an award at school for Achievement. He just finished his first year at middle school and did incredible! He will be no longer in the self contained Autism unit next year, he will be in some general ed and some resource classes. This is a HUGE positive step and hopefully will be another great year for Karson! I am so proud of him and how brave he is making a big change!

Poor Aubree got Pneumonia and was really sick for a couple weeks. She had to go in for a breathing treatment because she was wheezy so badly. Emma was helping her feel better by drawing on her legs with a pen....this did not help.
 This is a problem....

I drove the kids up to my Mom's the day after school got out. Loads of stuff going on! First order of business was to visit the horses, chickens and the tractor.

We also celebrated my Mom's birthday. I don't know why the coloring is so bad in this picture. Emma's across the table spilling her lemonade all over the floor.

I have one friend that I can say we have kept in touch and been friends since we were babies, the lovely Emily Anderson Ravsten! Amazingly & luckily we were both in town the same time and she had the time to come down to visit for a little bit with her kids & Hubby! So fun! Here is Aubree and Kedzie, who I know would be bff's if they lived near each other!

Ryan didn't make the trip, something about an 8 hour trip in a car.....whatever, it's only 7 hours. :)
So in honor of him, and missing him, we found this cool restaurant for lunch.

We went to the Peace Gardens in SLC with Lindsay and her kids.

Poor Lindsay had to work graveyard and then joined us at the Hogle Zoo ( Lindsay and I's fav place) for a very long day. Love you Linds! So glad when get to spend time together!

Another reason we came up was for Faerynn's blessing. I didn't get pictures of her dress that my Mom made, I was trying really hard to keep Emma quiet and not running up the aisle.
They all came over for dinner, here are some of Emma & Karson with Faerynn.

The kids had a grand old time playing until they had to take pictures and be contained...well really that only bothered Emma.

We went to the pond and feed the ducks. Then Emma and I flew home. I was pretty concerned about her on the plane, being she can't sit for more then 10 minutes and will LOUDLY protest if she is ever forced to do something she doesn't want to do. BUT - She did great! Watched Dino Dan (we have another dino lover) on the ipad and looked out the window. Luckily it's only a little over an hour flight!

Spring Flurry

Our Spring Flurry is nothing like the rest of the country (snow, rain, otherwise crappy weather), it was Karson's 12th birthday, the Easter Bunny visiting and Karson getting to be a deacon at church.
All in one weekend!

Oh My Gosh, What a handsome young man! Right?
Ryan suggested we measure him on his birthday since it seems like he grew 3 inches overnight.
5' 5''
Karson turned 12 on March 30 and because we had early church on Easter Sunday, the Easter Bunny agreed to come Saturday morning to help a mom out!
So Karson got an Easter basket and birthday presents all the same morning!
He asked for a body pillow with a "really soft" cover for his birthday.
Such a funny kid!
Bowling was his choice of Birthday activities. Someone in the picture, not naming names, wanted to get down and run up and down the bowling alley, and not take a picture. Can you guess which one???
At church when the kids turn 12 they get to go into a youth group of kids from 12-18 years old. So Karson advanced from the little kids primary and had to say a memorized scripture in front of the whole congregation, he of course did awesome! He also gets to help pass the sacrament on Sundays to the congregation. Cool stuff!
And to top it all off Grammy and Grandpa Dan both drove down to celebrate, which the kids are always thrilled about! And happy days for me, I had someone to help cook Easter dinner! (really I helped, she did all the work)

This year was Emma first year of really caring about the Easter Bunny. At first she was just excited to go outside and play, but we we showed her the eggs hidden and she thought that was great!

Here are some fun pictures over the past few weeks.
I took the kids to Red Robin for dinner one night when Ryan had "had enough!" :)
Emma loves to use the feature on my phone camera where you turn it around and see yourself.
She is so happy its spring time and beautiful weather so she can play outside, which is her favorite!
The kids had Spring Break the week before Easter, so on Friday I drug them to my office and seriously put them to work. Karson filed a giant stack of bank statements that had been piling up since October! Aubree weeded through 4 months of reconciled bank statements.
I think I need some help with filing.
I am wondering if there is any work release program for Jr High or Elementary??
