Swimming & Grandmas

It's that time of year in LV, time to hit the pool! Well for everyone that is crazy enough to go into water below 85 (not me)!

Ryan's mom and grandma came for a visit this week, we always love their visits, especially our bingo night where we never win anything but always have a good laugh!

And as usual, Emma is acting more her size then her age! Standing up and wishing she could run!
She is only 7 mos!

Easter at Grammy's

I flew up with the kids to visit my parents for Easter. They had a fun filled week with lots of fun activities!

Emma & Grammy playing the little Peanut's Music people, which she loved!

Getting rolled around.

Aubree, Emma & Grandma Betty. First time meeting Great Grandma & first trip to Coalville!
Karson has now surpassed Grandma in height!
Out in the back by the horses and chickens Grandpa Dan put in a swing so the Grandkids can all fight over who's turn it is....they all love it! Aubree & Bud..pronounced Buuud.
Emma loves Bud!
And he loves her!

Looking at the new chickens with Grandpa Dan.
Coloring Easter Eggs.
Bowling...My sister and her boys, Porter (4) and Bryson (almost 3) joined us for the day.
Porter, Bryson and Aubree on an egg hunt.

Rare occasion! Aubree with a Barbie!
Next day we drove to SL and had lunch at the park.

And chased after Bryson.
Went to the Aquarium with Lindsay and her boys.

Eleven

Karson celebrated his 11th birthday yesterday.

He got a birthday ride to school instead of the usual bus.

His new obession is computers, and I found this cute idea online for a cake. We used our usual local bakery and of course it turned out awesome!

As usual he wanted nothing and wanted to do nothing. But we managed to convince him to at least pick a place to go eat.

Ryan and I surprised him with presents that only Karson would love and appreciate.
A book for kids/beginners on Computer Programming. Just reading the first sentence made me promptly close the book and never look at it again....but he thought it was fantastic!

A new bigger monitor for his computer upstairs.

And his favorite Golden Oreos. The hideous scorpion on top of oreos was because he is all about them right now...hoping that goes away.

And finally...mostly for his parents benefit...Celtics and Red Sox t-shirts.

Happy Birthday to a smart, handsome, unique, and loving son! We love you!

The Best Worst Vacation Ever!

Ahhh, San Diego.

Lovely.

Except for the weekend we picked to go!

Granted, we were aware it was suppose to rain, but it was our last weekend before Ryan goes back to work, so we decided to take our chances.
We stopped in Baker for Alien Jerkey first...

We left early Friday and got in some beach time before it got too cold.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Trip to the Wild Animal Park. No rain and not to cold for the first 2 hours.....then the downpour!

Because the Park is so huge it took us forever to get out and we were all soaked! Since our visit was cut short, we found the Birch Aquarium near our hotel and stopped there. It was really nice and dry!

When we got back to our hotel room, we discovered the hotel had lost it's power to do a "giant fire ball exploding the transformer" per the hotel staff. No clue if there would be any power. So instead of sitting in the cold and dark we opted to drive home. But it was already 7 pm and we were all tired so we stayed in lovely Victoville, about 2 1/2 hrs north of San Diego.
We got home before noon on Sunday and are all exhausted!
But not too exhausted to take some more cute St. Patrick's pictures of Emma.
