Karson & Emma

Karson LOVES his baby sister! He wants to be around her all the time!

Recently he's been learning capitals at school and we do a lot of "What's the capital of Ohio" and on and on...

Well he said this and I LOVED it and had to share!
K: "Mom, what's the capital of Emma?"
Me: "Um, Emma doesn't have a capital she's a baby."
K: "Nope. The capital of Emma is Adorable."
He's adorable!
And the other day he said "I would kick myself in the head if it made Emma smile!"
LOVES her!
She's a squirming, jumping, crazy baby! Here is Karson trying to keep her on his lap at Aubree's swimming lessons and loving every minute of it!

Sit'n Pretty

4 1/2 months

This crazy baby is sitting by herself for quite a while before either folding in half or rolling on her side.

Like her Dr said at her last appt, she looks like she's 6 mos, so maybe she thinks she should act like she's 6 mos!

What's new

Emma started on solids last week. As to be expected, most of the cereal ended up on her face and bib!
This was the first time, she actually likes it now even though she looks disgusted with it in these pictures!

These are in honor of the big Patriots' playoff game tomorrow!
Also, any time I can incorporate a giant tutu into her outfit it's gonna happen! :)

Her head is a little chopped off on this one but she has such a darling smile I had to include it!

Christmas

As usual, the kids got WAY more then they needed!

My kinda of Christmas morning, we didn't get up until 8!

To keep up the tradition, Santa got something for the fishtank. The Krusty Krab is the newest addition.

Karson got an electric keyboard with a microphone and a new bike helmet for his newly renovated bike, and tons of other stuff!

Aubree got a new bike, she has refused to learn how to ride until now. She also got a Shark Air Swimmer. If any of your children or husbands wanted one of these, DON'T! I can't go into details as not to offend Santa, but the fact that there are no pictures of it will clue you in! :)

Emma enjoyed her first Christmas by playing with her new baby gym.

The mess at 9:49 am

Probably because Aubree is 8, it only took her about 20 min to get the bike riding down thanks to Ryan!

Grammy surprised the kids on Monday morning and got to spend the week.
We went to the Zoo, which is really pathetic and should not be called a zoo.

But the kids had fun, and there aren't a lot of options for kids in LV.

And last, but certainly not least, FINALLY some pictures of Emma SMILING!

Getting Ready for Santa

Blessed

We were blessed to have family come to celebrate our little Emma's blessing.

She got to wear Aubree's blessing dress made by their Grammy and looked beautiful!

Races & Birthdays

The kids' school had their annual Harvest Run, where each grade runs a race, girls then boys. You can guess which child was super excited and which was completely annoyed.

Aubree came in 12 out of 75, 1st in her class, which is great, but she was obviously expecting to be 1st of all and was really upset.

Here she is sitting in her first position pouting.

Aubree & her coach.

Aubree & her friend Summer.

Karson was just glad to be done, we were glad he wasnt last, again. :)

Aubree had her 8th birthday this week. She was all about being "grown up" now.

Ryan and I spent 3 full days re-doing her room while her and Karson were at their dad's for the long weekend.

She has been asking for her room to be painted red for a couple years now.
Here is a picture that I remembered I should take to document the huge change, in the middle of the renovation.

She came home Sunday night and was super surprised and super happy! She loved it!
Here she is the next morning, her birthday.

I painted my old yellow dresser for her. Anyone that has stayed in our guest room or grew up with me knows this dresser! I hand painted all the green and it took forever, but turned out darling! The drawer pulls and knob have white polka dots. Super cute!

Last year Aubree had her Rainbow Lizard birthday cake forever memorialized at the bakery in their book to look through at cake ideas. We are thinking this year's will get in the book too!

She also had a surprise visit from Grandpa Leo, who surprised all of us by showing up at the house that night! He was in town for a conference and we all enjoyed his visit! He's the one holding Emma in this picture. :)

She got a gecko clock for her new bedroom, the tongue is a pendulum.

Karson would like one now.

The next day was my birthday, and the best news was the day before I thought I was going to be 38, then realized I was only going to be 37! So yeah for me!
Aubree colored a lovely birthday card as usual, but this part was hilarious. Look at the bottom where she throws her brother under the bus!

Me and Emma, who smiles all the time, just not for pictures!
