Snow in Las Vegas!

It took 2 hours for me to get home from work tonight and 30 minutes of it was sitting 5 car lengths away from the street to my neighborhood!

Thanksgiving at Grammy's

Ryan got to experience his first visit to Utah, and was quite surprised to find that the big draw for "Black Friday" was the gun shop.
Aubree got a belated birthday "Princess Castle Tent" and her and Karson both took turns bossing each other and being the Queen.
The kids were thrilled to see their cousin Porter again, who is walking and getting into everything.

Aubree's 5

Aubree turned five on Friday. I took her to the Target to pick out a birthday present. We went down every aisle twice. Exhibit A below is what she picked out.
Future mental note, don't waste time on the girl aisles.

Some of her other favorite gifts included the batman mask that I had to force her to remove for birthday pictures and a giant dinosaur that she refers to as a "broccoli o saurus".

We went bowling, her choice, for her birthday. After about 3/4 of the game, she fell asleep at the table.

Well we obviously didnt go with the toilet. But easy and free is better!
We had a church Halloween party on Wednesday night and on Halloween night Karson decided that he didnt want to paint his hair again because it "hurt when he washed it."
The kid's friends Jayden (devil) and Cason (Joker) joined in the contest to accumulate the most candy.
Aubree did a lot of growling and clawing the air and thought she was scary.
Karson worried about cavities and voiced the negative effects of candy or sugar in general through out the night.

I don't know about any of you other parents, but Ryan and I immediately go through the candy baskets, not for "bad" candy, but for the candy WE want!

FINALLY!

Karson's been working on this top tooth coming out since literally July!
Last night after much wiggling and pulling on my part, it found it's way to the special tooth fairy box.
Of course Karson was more concerned about how the tooth fairy was going to get into house and has an extensive understanding of vents and fans so although I think he was unconvinced, he said "OK OK Mom! She comes throught the vents, whatever."

Happy Together

As much as I hear "She's annoying me!", Karson and Aubree were SO excited to see each other after Karson spent 2 weeks at Grammy's.

Who Knew!

Karson has made the suggestion several times now that he would like to be a toilet for Halloween.
Sadly enough, this seems to be a popular choice in 8-12 year old boys as most ebay auctions are ending at $40-$50 before shipping!
Hope he enjoys the candy corn costume my mom found under her bed for free!
