23 Weeks

In approximately 23 weeks we are looking forward to welcoming the newest addition to the Miller Family!

I will apologize now for the poor quality of the ultrasound pictures, I could not get the blog to load the scanned pictures, so I had to take a picture with my camera. So, they aren't the best.

We found out yesterday that we (I) will have the pleasure of buying all the darling girl clothes again! Bows and bracelets!! :)

Here she is giving the customary Miller salute.

She kept trying to get away from the ultrasound wand, the tech had to chase her around to get a look. Here she is turning her back as the tech was trying to look at her heart. The tech mentioned several times she was one of the most "active" babies she had seen.

I'm hoping that's code for she will be a very calm and quiet baby. :)

The Great Escape

Stanley the office turtle loves to jump from his tank (about 4 ft high) to the floor where he can walk around the office and almost get stepped on.
He just pulls in all his body parts and crashes to the floor.
We leave his lid off during the day, and I happened to catch him in the act the other day.
Here he is tettering on the edge of the tank right before his leap to freedom.

Lizards and Snakes and Frogs, Oh My!

So just when you think your daughter has become "girlie", carrying around a darling little lady bug purse.....

......you open it to find she has been carrying around....

A cute little purse full of lizards, snakes, frogs and I'm sure there are dinosaurs in there too.
Karson and I went to the Mother/Son Dance a couple weeks ago.
This may be surprising to those that know both Karson and I's hatred for dancing, especially in a large group of people.
But, he only wanted to go because his teacher would be there.
There was no dancing on either of our parts of course, we stood in the back and watched the rest of the boys running around, not really dancing either.
It was really loud and hot and when we didn't immediately see his teacher, he was ready to go, and I would have gladly obliged.
But, his beloved Mrs. Turley and her son Craig were there and so we visited with them for about an hour and left.
The highlight of Karson's eveing was going with Mrs. Turley to the classroom when it was dark outside.
Highlight of my evening was not having 10 girlfriends try and pursuade me to come out and dance with them.

Too Skinny!

It's sad when you are so skinny that not only can you put on your jeans without unbuttoning or unzipping them, but also put them on backwards!

She had them on for at least 20 minutes sitting on the couch playing her DS before I pointed out her pants were on backwards. Crazy!

Updates

Aubree & Ryan went to the school's "Daddy/Daughter Dance" last Friday.

Aubree discovered very quickly that the stage next to the DJ was a great place to shake her booty for every one's enjoyment. Poor Ryan only got a couple dances and was left to mingle with the other dads that were also deserted by their daughters joining Aubree in the spotlight.

We also sadly said good-bye to our good friend Timmy, as he is escaping LV's crappy economy and moving back to Chicago with his family.

We will miss him!!

We had a pizza party with a bunch of friends and then hit the bowling alley.

This is Aubree and Timmy having a staring contest.

Visit from the Gramma's

My mom and Grandma came to visit the week after Christmas.
The kids loved every minute and were so sad when they left.

Aubree made a pinata at school and we were going to do it on New Years Eve, but we forgot and did it last night.
It had a total of four candies in the bag. Aubree said "I put one for each of us!"
